Known as ‘kamoun in Moroccan Arabic, grows in the warm fertile valley of Marrakash on the Atlantic Coast. It has a spicy-sweet aroma, and a pungent, strong and delicious flavor with a slightly bitter finish.
It is one of the most fragrant ingredients used in Moroccan cuisine, most prominently as a condiment and to season roasted & grilled meats and also to add flavor to sauces, veggies, tagines, stews
