This dried fish flake seasoning is made from 100% domestic Japanese mackerel and sardines, carefully shaved to increase surface area and impart the most delicious umami boost to any dish. Carefully selected by a dashi specialist, you can experience professional and authentic Japanese umami flavor at home.
Dried mackerel flakes feature a distinct richness and sweetness while sardine flakes have a slight bitterness and astringency yet are deep in umami. These can be used for topping udon, marinated dishes, chilled tofu, onion salad, and okonomiyaki.
The flakes are packaged in a special vacuum sealing method, so they remain fresh until you open the bag. The bag is resealable, which makes its storage convenient and hygienic.
