Description
This is one of the hardest to find chiles from Oaxaca, only grown in southern Mexico.Rojo Chilhuacle Chiles have medium heat & sweet taste, and have richer and deeper flavors than the ‘Chilhuacle Amarillo’.
Heat (Pungency): mild (3out of 10) Scoville units: 1000-1500
It is used in the preparation of traditional ‘mole rojo’ and “mole colorado.”
