Also known as ‘KALI / BARI ELACHI’ Black cardamom is a root of a perennial herbaceous plant with pods full of seeds. It has a strong camphor-like flavor, with a smoky character. Black cardamom enhances and intensifies the flavors of the other ingredients.

USES: Black cardamom works better in savory applications – added to Indian tandoori marinades, stews, soups, chowders, casseroles and vegetable stir- fry dishes for smoky flavor.
